Linolenic acid:
 polyunsaturated essential fatty acid not produced by the body, which offers unique skin care properties.
Lye: the solid form of a caustic alkali, or the water solution in which a caustic alkali has been dissolved. It is this base that reacts with fats and oils to make soap.
