Macerate: soak until soft.
Microbe:
a minute living organism, especially pathogenic bacteria or viruses.
Milled soap: processed soap that goes through a shredding process, to then be squeezed through extrusion machinery. Continuous shredding of the soap flakes, in combination with synthetic material, produces a hard, smooth, polished bar, less alkaline than fresh soap.
Mineral: elements or compounds found in the form of crystals that are created by inorganic processes of nature and satisfy the following requirements: naturally occurring; composed of material that was never alive; chemical and molecular formulas identical wherever it is found; atoms within it are arranged in a predictable, regular pattern and form solid crystals.
Mold: a frame around or on which bars of soap can be shaped or formed.
Monoglyceride: one glyceride
Monounsaturated fatty acid: fatty acid with one double bond.
