Tachycardia: abnormally increased heartbeat and pulse rate.
Tallow:
solid animal fat rendered from cattle, sheep, and horses, usually from the kidney area.
Tannin: a substance that has an astringent action, and helps seal the tissue.
Tincture: an herbal remedy or perfumery material prepared in an alcohol base.
Tocopherols: naturally derived forms of vitamin A, existing as either alpha-tocopherol, beta-tocopherol, gamma-tocopherol, or delta- tocopherol. Gamma and delta-tocopherols are known for their antioxidant properties. Tocopherols delay rancidity in certain soap formulas, and offer secondary healing properties by softening the skin.
Tonic strengthens and enlivens the whole or specific parts of the body.
Transcutaneous: By way of, or through the skin.
Transdermal: applied to the skin for absorption into the bloodstream.
