Unsaponifiables: portions of a natural oil whose components do not react with the alkali to form soap. Thought to be impurities, many are removed during the refining process.
Unsaponified:
in their original state without being converted during the soap making process. Nutrients added at the end of saponification remain mostly unsaponified and offer more moisturizing properties.
Unsaturated: having the power to dissolve still more of a substance, or having a double or triple bond and capable of forming new compounds by addition.
Urticaria: hives, nettle rash, acute or chronic affliction of the skin characterized by the formation of weals or welts, with itching, stinging, or burning.
