Cocoa butter is formed from the pressing of the cocoa bean. It is a by-product of the chocolate making process and thus has a slight chocolate scent.

A hard, saturated fat, cocoa butter is not easily absorbed by the skin. It does, however, act as a wonderful skin softener and emollient by laying a protective layer on our skin that holds and retains moisture.

We at Hummingbird use a deodorized form of beeswax to reduce the scent of chocolate.
Do not use products with cocoa butter as an ingredient if allergic to cocoa or chocolate.
