Hazelnut oil is derived from several species of the hazelnut tree. Expeller pressed, it is easily absorbed through the skin, providing wonderful moisturizing qualities for creams, soaps, and lip balms.

Only two fatty acids account for 90% of hazelnut oil's fatty acid content, and both of these are unsaturated: 80 % oleic acid and 10 % linoleic acid.
