Olive Oil

Olive oil is derived from the gentle, cold pressing of the olive fruit, without heat or refinement. There are many grades of olive oil. Where a high proportion of a vegetable-based soap (nearly half the amount of oil used) is olive oil, grades A and B are more suited for soap making. Grades and color of olive oil determine the color of a soap.

Olive oil is known for its properties of attracting external moisture to the skin, while forming a breathable coating that prevents loss of internal moisture. It does not hamper normal skin function, but rather, allows the skin to continue releasing sebum, shed dead skin, and perspire.
