Palm oil is derived from the pulp of the oil palm tree's fruit, the palm kernel. It is expeller pressed.

Palm oil contains a high percentage of fatty acids, and a low level of glycerin. Its contribution to skin care is negligible; however, when mixed with other oils, it produces a lovely, mild, hard, bar of soap that cleans well.
