This Notice discloses the privacy policy and practices for www.hummingbirdsoap.com. This Notice does not apply to the practices of companies that Hummingbird does not own or control, or to people that Hummingbird does not employ or manage.

We are old-fashioned about privacy. Our policy is not to intrude or allow others to do so.

1. Who collects the information?
Hummingbird, a sole proprietorship registered in the States of Oregon and Nevada.

2. What information does Hummingbird collect?
Only what customers choose to share. If a customer just visits the site, Hummingbird collects nothing, and does not use cookies. The only times personally identifiable information is collected are when customers place orders or request a custom product. When a customer places an order, information for shipping and payment, as shown on the order screen, is collected. The credit card number is relayed directly to our payment processor and is not received or stored by Hummingbird online or offline. For custom products, information about individual preferences and other conditions affecting the choice of ingredients in skin care products, as shown in the online questionnaire screen, is collected. No other personally identifiable information is collected. Hummingbird.com is a general site which does not target children or collect information specifically about children.

3. How is the information used?
Information collected when an order is placed is used to fill the order, process payment, and resolve any questions or problems with the order. Information collected for custom products is used to formulate a product for the individual, consult with the individual if necessary, and provide a quotation. Information may also be used to comply with law; enforce or apply our Merchant Agreement or other agreements; or protect the rights, property, or safety of Hummingbird, our users, or others. This includes exchanging information for fraud protection and risk reduction. Names and addresses are also used to send holiday greeting cards. Hummingbird does not send emails except about a specific order or request. Hummingbird does not use email for sales, marketing, specials, promotions, or the like, and does not sell, rent, share, or disclose email addresses to others except as described above. Information collected by Hummingbird is not used for any other purpose.

4. With whom is the information shared?
Information about orders is shared with our payment processor Authorize.Net, whose privacy statement can be found at http://www.authorizenet.com/company/privacy.php. Hummingbird’s website is hosted by ipowerweb.com, although ipowerweb.com does not have specific access to information collected by Hummingbird. Ipowerweb’s privacy statement is at http://www.ipowerweb.com/company/legal/legal_privacy.html. Hummingbird believes that Authorize.Net and ipowerweb.com do not retain, share, store, or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes. Hummingbird may also release personally identifiable information to legal authorities or to companies or organizations for purposes connected with contractual agreements, protection of parties we deem involved directly or indirectly, or risk reduction. Hummingbird does not sell, rent, share, or disclose email addresses, telephone numbers, or addresses except as described above. Hummingbird does not otherwise share any information with any other party.

5. What choices are available to you regarding the use of your data?
Customers may ask Hummingbird to review, change, or delete information, express concerns or ask questions about the use of data, or ask to be omitted from the holiday greeting card mailing list, at any time by mail to Stage Coach, Nevada 89429; email to lona@hummingbirdsoap.com; telephone or fax to 1-866-HUMSOAP (1-866-486-7627); or in person.

6. What kind of security procedures are in place to protect the loss, misuse, or alteration of information under Hummingbird control?
Hummingbird’s website host ipowerweb.com and payment processor Authorize.Net are both protected by SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption software, the best in the industry. Ordering and payment are through a secure web page which can be identified by the “https” instead of just “http” at the beginning of the web address, and by a lock icon at the bottom of the customer’s web browser screen. Hummingbird’s computers that store personally identifiable information are protected by passwords to prevent unauthorized access, and along with written records, are kept locked when unattended. Access to information is limited to official business use.

This website includes links to other websites. Hummingbird is not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. Users are encouraged to read the privacy statements of those sites.

8. Notice for International Users
Hummingbird is located in the United States of America. Any information provided to Hummingbird will be transferred out of the country of origin to the USA. By providing information you consent to its storage and use as described in this Privacy Notice.

9. Changes
This Privacy Notice may be changed from time to time. If so, Hummingbird will post notice on the hummingbirdsoap.com home page.
