On our small farm nestled in the valley of the Rogue River, Oregon, Hummingbird was conceived with the hope of helping people with severely damaged or sensitive skin. Our goal is to offer skin care products tailored for specific needs, using only the finest of ingredients. Our specialty is unscented and super-fatted soaps and creams for those persons with very damaged skin.

I am Lona Gabree. My experience- foremost- as a cancer survivor, but also as a registered nurse and oncology specialist, has allowed me to understand the unique damage caused by radiation, chemotherapy, and other insults. With a commitment to healing patients and a dedication to research, I aim to provide the finest, most effective skin care products available.Our products contain no artificial fragrances, colors, or preservatives. The comfrey, marshmallow root, and lavender used in our recipes are all grown on our premises and meticulously dried and pulverized. We mix, pour, cut, and package all our soaps lovingly by hand.

My husband Charles Dupre and I own and operate Hummingbird out of our home. In loving memory of my mom, Pauline, who lived right down the road, and helped out with just about everything- soapmaking, packaging, farmer's market... We miss you and we love you. My daughter Clarissa, who lives in New York City, provides graphic and web design/ development, and software design. My youngest daughter, Krissy contributes all the constructive criticism we need. This site offers extensive information on who we are, how we make our products, and what we make them with. We hope you enjoy your visit!
