Somewhere on this website, my duty in Hummingbird is described as providing constructive criticism. While I do not claim that I contribute in any other way, I must point out that this role is important and demanding, and describe my qualifications.

I am a soap and lotion lover and collector. I have always been. Growing up in New York City, I was a mischievous, dirty tomboy. I also spent a great deal of time in the mountains of New England, where Mom often forced my sister and me to paddle canoes through icy waters and hike through forests full of logs and boulders. It was not because of my constantly soiled condition, however, that I liked gifts of fragrant soaps, lotions, and potpourri. I just enjoyed things that smell good. I still do.

As I grew up, I became less dirty and more sweaty. I played basketball and lifted weights furiously. My soap and lotion collection expanded to products with medicinal purposes. What else do teenage girls do but care for skin problems? I learned all I could about soap. I know my exfoliants from my creamy lathers, and my vitamins from my essential oils. My knowledge extends to lotions, too. The difference between vegetable and mineral oils is a major factor. All natural is very important to me, and 'not tested on animals' is a MUST. I am the youngest of the Hummingbird family. When it comes to experience with bath and body products, however, I am the one people listen to. I test the products on myself and on my friends, from flaky skin to oily skin. I know which ingredients are the best, and I know which products are the best, too.

That explains my post here at Hummingbird, and it should explain why my soap and lotion collection is now limited to Hummingbird products ONLY. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the head of Quality Assurance speaking as a true connoisseur of fine soaps and lotions. My mom is the BEST, and so are her products.
